Life is good!

Unloved and misunderstood...

The Dandelion is a common weed... everybody knows that. But they are really quite a pretty flower and they grow anywhere with absolutely no external encouragement, effort or care. We try so hard to grow other plants where they refuse to grow, why is it so hard to appreciate the lonely little dandelion? Is it simply because it is too easy, we've nothing invested?

The scientific name for the dandelion is "Taraxacum"; they are native to Eurasia and North America, and are edible in their entirety. They also have numerous medicinal uses. So - not only pretty, but useful. Nevertheless, I will admit: I don't want them in my lawn! This one is growing under the tree in 'no man's land' near the driveway, so it's safe... for now.
