A Special Swedish Saturday
We had a wonderful day with Bella today. We picked her up at lunchtime and headed off to her mum's old school where we met a glorious red London double decker bus driven by Mr Clunie
We all climbed up the stairs, got settled in, rolled the windows down, and up, and down again then set out for a trip into the country and an onboard puppet show. We wheezed and rattled up some very steep hills, stopping on the way to pick up a puppeteer and the star of the show and eventually stopped in a field over looking the city.
After all the excitement, we got ourselves comfortable to watch a puppet performance of the Swedish folk tale of Pelle's New Suit performed at the front of the bus. There was community singing of 'round' songs, magical moon movements and afterwords a picnic of home made delights in the sunshine.
A perfect combination, a big bus, puppets and picnic -an utterly charming experience.
Bella loved it too.
'Hold very tight ....please!'
