Swannery
Mr T and I have travelled along the coast to Swanage in Dorset where we are staying for a week. No flights for us!!
On the way we visited the Swannery in Abbotsbury, a nature reserve for not only swans but other birds. However, swans rule here and there are hundreds of them. The swans are fairly chilled because they are used to people wandering around and because they get fed at regular times, so they're not timid, nor do they pester for food.
The Swannery is about 600 years old and was first used to breed swans as food, nowadays, the purpose is to conserve them.
At this time of year the ladies are nesting whilst the boys guard the ladies, as you can see above.
