time standing still

This is my Dad's grandfather clock which I think belonged to his grandfather and has been across the Atlantic and back.
Its chime is so loud that we had to disconnect it because it kept waking us up.
Only problem is we keep forgetting to wind it up which makes me feel bad because my Dad wound it religiously every week and it kept perfect time for him.
