Legend
A night out tonight did me th eworld of good. We went to see Jerry Sadowitz (for those who don't recognise him from the picture). He was wickedly funny, and the magic tricks were top notch.
He was a little more subdued than the last time I saw him but, being Jerry Sadowitz, he could have been a lot more subdued and still been far funnier more offensive than all but a handful of comedians like Doug Stanhope or Brendon Burns. When I say offensive, I don't mean just for the sake of it, there were heavy doses of irony and it was all delivered with his particular brand of self loathing and insight.
Targets for the night included other magicians, particularly David Copperfield, Siegried and roy and David Blains, Dundonians, Aberdonians, The English, David Blunkett, John Leslie, Chris Langholm, The guy behind me who asked him to slow down the magic tricks so he could figure out what he was doing and the poor woman who, due to arriving just before the show started, could only get a seat in the front row despite wearing a mini skirt so short it was almost non existent.
Just over an hour of genius, I haven't laughed so much in a long long time.
