Dedicated to Moments!

Early this morning, we found, what we believe to be a Peregrine Falcon, sitting in the apple tree that is very close to our bedroom window!

Much earlier, like around 7am, we both woke up to hear a thud, couldn't figure it out....mind you we didn't try too hard, it is sunday morning after all.....and then about 1/2 hour later i saw a medium sized bird fly by the window beside my side of the bed.....i thought it was a partridge, i really just barely registered something with brown markings....but then at breakfast, Terry spotted this bird and we checked out our bird book and the only thing that came close was the peregrine falcon.

so, because my great friend Togrrrl, aka Moments
is such an amazing source of bird information...i've dedicated this to her!!!

Edit: As i suspected, my dear friend Lynne, aka Moments, was able to steer me in the right bird direction....apparently what we have here is a Cooper's Hawk! Good to know !
