Cashmere Dawn

A thick blanket covered the entire city this morning, with just the distant alps, the taller central city buildings and these neighbouring hills protruding. As the sun rose, everything briefly turned golden. Later I went for a walk up the Port Hills and there was not a single cloud. The sky was deepest blue in every direction and the temperature was in the high twenties. Not every winter day is like this in Christchurch, but it's common enough to describe as "normal".

This is my 14th Blip. Not much of a milestone compared to many of you, but two straight weeks and I'm addicted.
