Fanny

Fanny is a very old Jacob sheep, one of the first 2 ewes that I bought 8 years ago, and she was getting on then...
She is named after Fanny Blankers-Koen, the Dutch athlete who won 4 gold medals in the London Olympics of 1948. Fanny was given her name due to her amazing ability to jump a 4 foot hurdle, even when heavily pregnant. It is this habit of hers which explains how she continues to get herself pregnant each year despite being kept in a separate field away from the tups.
