No we haven't had a lightning visit across the Border today, more's the pity. We were orienteering in the Yorkshire Wolds after a good day's training with the Junior Squad yesterday.
The parking field for the event was on a farm which has seriously diversified since our last visit a few years ago. There is now a huge field of pigs providing sausages for Sainsbury's (so said a large banner) - this was somewhat upsetting because I eat said sausages and didn't enjoy being faced with the cuddly providers (hypocrisy in action!). There was also a caravan park atop the hill with beautiful views of the Vale of Pickering and several animals laid on for their entertainment. Farmers are getting very good at eeking out a decent living.
I love Highland Cows, nuff said.
