The back gate

The back way out of our garden leads to a narrow grassy lane bounded on both sides by tall fences covered in ivy and thick hedges. This gate, just at the corner of our entrance, leads to the neighbor's back garden. It obviously was well used by kids or an animal at one time, judging from the gouges along the top edge; its current lack of use is just as apparent.
