Too Chicken To Come Inside

This young rooster has been AWOL in our vicinity for the last few days. Here he is looking in the window of the waiting room of the local doctor's office. It's a very small town and soon I'm sure he will be claimed and taken home to roost. And I'll bet he will regale the hens every night with tales of his far off adventures.

I had someone's errant chicken in my backyard a few years ago, and she roosted in my camellia bush every night. I thought it was rather fun to have her around until I noticed that she was scratching up my rock gardens. I gifted her to a nearby farmer's flock.

I like chickens and would like to keep a few.....one day when I have more time.
