Nothing like Rice Crispie Cakes

Mairi's friend is allergic to eggs, so birthdays are always a nightmare for her. She never gets a piece of cake.

Or so I thought. On Mairi's birthday, we made an eggless sponge cake specially so her friend could take part. It was edible enough, but definitely compromised on the flavour side.

After all this she decided she wasn't even going to try it.

People may say it's rich coming from me, if I criticise someone for their pickiness with all my allergies, but let's just say, when she tried a chocolate crispie cake I made for M's class the other day, and declared it was the most delicious thing she'd ever tasted, it was high praise indeed.

So tonight we had a crispie cake making lesson, and much fun and mess all round!
