Wave Breaker

I love the beach. I grew up in a seaside town on the West Coast of Scotland. I remember long walks along the beach. By this I mean along the sand. For miles. Since moving to Aberdeen it's something I've realised was a luxury. You can't do this here because there are lines of wood every 200m or so. I think they're called wave breakers, and are there to stop the big huge waves crashing over the top onto the promenade. It obviously serves a purpose, but I think ruins what would be a lovely beach.
