Wet in the musical rain ..
Back blipping for Monday ...
This Monday wasn't like usual dull ones. The reason being celebrations at office for inauguration of a new working facility. Various cultural programs were planned for the evening. I was quite excited about the events - especially the performance by Sivamani, my favorite percussionist in India!
Suddenly in the afternoon, the weather changed. Sun went behind the clouds and the dark clouds took over. Within no time, the rain came from nowhere. After raining a bit it stopped. But luckily the weather remained cloudy for the rest of the day and the cool breeze took over. A perfect stage was set for the evening celebrations.
As expected, Sivamani's performance was totally mind-blowing! 30 minutes of non-stop drumming. He created sounds from almost everything - from water to plates to foils. It was mesmerizing to watch. A treat to get wet in his musical rain!
PS: If you are interested, here is a video of his performance yesterday.
