What are you looking at?
Today we travelled by bus along the scenic coast towards Poole, but actually alighting in Sandybanks so as to take the 10 min ferry across to Brownsea Island.
The small island is a nature reserve, jointly owned by the National Trust and Dorset Wildlife Trust. The island's main claim to fame is that it was the site for the first Scout Camp organised by Baden-Powell, it continues to host Scout Camps to this day.
The other draw to the island is the colony of red squirrels that have successfully established themselves in the woods. No squirrels came out to play today. But we did spot this young sweetie who didn't seem to mind me creeping up to take a photo.
