The Opportunist

We took Baloo to the vet for his 2nd set of vaccinations today. Paddington went with... we couldn't drive away with Baloo in the car and leave Paddington at home - what would he think?!

As we walked into the consulting room, we put Baloo on the examination table. Paddington proceeded to walk all the way to the other side of the room, climbed onto the chair in the one corner, turned around to make himself comfortable and then sat upright for a better view of the whole vaccination process! He seemed terribly pleased with himself and even gave a subtle wag of his tail whenever anybody looked in his direction (Where was my camera when I needed it most?).

He did, however, refuse to take his deworming tablet from the vet, which resulted in me cooking mince for dinner and crushing the tablet into the mince. Here he is, fast asleep next to the wall unit in the tv room, with a full tummy and a very satisfied look on his face... probably dreaming about Baloo's next visit to the vet in 4 weeks' time!
