My Kind of Bird

I haven't been able to get out today because I have been firing the kiln and generally getting everything ready for packing to take my pots back to England next week.
This little plate is one of a few that went into the kiln this morning. It is my take on birds, and since joining Blip I have had such a sea of inspiration to work with, thank you all bird blippers I try and post a comment on your pictures when I find them. But the prize for the most inspirational birds goes to the dim witted Kookaburra?s posted byAlways Argyle, these are the scariest funniest birds I have ever seen. Picture this; I sit in front of my laptop, pencil in hand and sketch out the rough lines of your bird blips then somehow they get transformed, they grow extra legs, they end up on pots.
This plate is in the raw here, it will end up black and white, I may add some colour to the flowers though.
