Bud Update

Exactly five weeks ago, I visited the park and blipped this bud. I went back today to check on the progress.

A yellow flower is beginning to emerge, I will revisit soon to capture it's final glory.

Does anyone know what this is called?

Another reason to keep regularly visiting is that the swan has made a nest on the little island and is sitting quietly on it. Looking forward to photographing the cygnets with my new 300mm lens - received with a fault, so I have to return it for a replacement.
