Bawk Bawk!

I walked to work the "long" way for the first time in weeks. I can never seem to get myself out of the house on time these days and so cannot afford the leisurely walk down the canal that I luckily managed today. The biggest change noticed is even more big black wooden fences going up along the tow path. And I spotted the swan's nest even closer to the Viewforth Bridge than I remember it being last year. No signets yet though.

The fencing does sharpen up the look of the canal but thankfully the above happy fellow has not been obliterated yet. I love that he somehow looks bored but bemused at the same time. Best described as a cheeky chicken!

Another successful day as we were out again for our second run of the week. I felt much better today; not as tired and managed to go farther too. May it long continue! Will be out again on Saturday!
