My Last Degu

This little old lady used to be part of a community!

I had 4 degus - Emilia, Isabela, Rosa and Chiquita. They lived very happily together for about 5 years till the others started shuffling off this mortal coil.

Isabela has outlived all the others by 18 months so far. She is 6 and a half years old.

Her only other companion is Pico, our Netherland Dwarf rabbit who lives in the cage next to her. He was 7 years old in March.

At one time I had 19 cages of Syrian, Chinese and Russian hamsters, gerbils, rabbits and guinea pigs. That WAS a community !!!
