to edinburgh for work - nominally - mostly enjoying the pre-storm lull. fringe frenzy of people bashing their flyers around and doing stuff to get noticed. a whiff of desperation among some and youthful optimism from others.

tried to photograph the unfeasibly old portugese scouts with toggles and five o'clock shadows but couldnt get close enough

saw an exhibition, watched some colleagues doing their show, met my meeting person to talk of scottish folk heros and maternity nighties, then home on the train.

hooray for a long skate in the summer air and a cold pint in the pub. and for a partner who has much more patience about doing bedtime when i am going out than vice versa,
