my first strike!

Here are the marvellous fellow strikers, at the start of a great day, taking part in the first strike at the Evening News for about 30 years, and certainly my first ever strike!
We were out in protest at a new computer system, the hopeless way it was implemented, and job losses it has caused for sub-editors.
We couldn't believe the amount of public interest and support. We handed out 2300 leaflets, and could have given out even more.
So not a clever or artistic blip today, but a record of a historic day for SEN journos, and me!
In a way it was a sad day to have to strike, to come to this, but in many other ways it was great to come together to stand up for journalism.
And now our management get the message....!!!
