The deep end

I had a rare chance to visit our neighbourhood swimming hall (Pyynikin uimahalli) that is closed for now and waiting for renovation by the city.

The building is from 1956, and the mosaic figures on the end wall were designed by mr. Olavi Valavuori.

In spite of the desolate state of the space, the natural light gives it an airy feeling.
