Et in Arcadia ego

Back in my friend's garden. This is one of my favourite spots to sit and listen to birds and frogs in the ponds nearby. There is one very noisy bullfrog whose croaking can be heard above all the others. They've named him Pavarotti.

This bench is at the end of a long path bordered by tall hedges. Look closely* and you'll see the words 'Et in Arcadia ego' carved into the bench. I think it roughly translates into 'Even in Arcadia I exist.' (Latin speakers, please correct me if I'm wrong.) Arcadia indeed.
