Commonly known as toadstools.
The view from the hut was even more spectacular this morning.
The sun rising over the hills.
Clouds like a misty lake below us.
Brekky.
Packed up.
Set off down the hill.
Down...
And down...
And down...
Bloody steep it was - glad we didn't come up this way yesterday!
Slippery in parts too.
Stacked at one stage, landing on my backside on a big rock.
Thought at the time it'd be my left butt cheek that was most sore, but turns out I have a really bloomin' sore right hand that I don't remember even knocking.
We were all pretty sore by the time we reached the bottom two-and-a-half hours later.
Glad of the flat track for the last kilometre or so to stretch out our legs.
Soft drink at the trout farm while J hitched a lift back to the car and came back for us.
Bought burgers in Bright.
Drove the windy road up to Mt Buffalo.
Ate lunch at the very picturesque Lake Catani.
Long drive back to Melbourne.
Total walk distance about 22km for the two days. Wouldn't be much if that were on the flat, but quite the trek given the altitude change. Very much worth it though. Fantastic weekend. Lovely weather. Stunning views. Top company. Loved it. Have to get L along next time.
All topped off by a delicious BBQ dinner at Pascoe as we dropped B and C home.
Home now.
Showered.
About to hit the sack.
Night!
PS Have backbilpped yesterday. Check out how stunning the views were...
