The puppy and the bone.

The bone is just this big, fairly solid bone with an empty middle.

I don't know what it tastes off. Apparently it's been soaked in some kind of stock or something. But I don't know. Whatever it is, the dog loves it.

She spends ages gnawing on it (it's lasted ages as well!). She lies on her back and on her side and every time starts to slide away from her, she grabs it with her teeth and pulls it closer, and then holds it with her paws as she gnaws.
Whenever we sit down to eat, she fetches her bone and chews it while we eat.

I never did see a happier puppy.
