Confessions of a Bad Mother: Number One

Very occasionally when we're in the car, if Lyra's feeling really miserable, I take her out of the carseat and give her a cuddle.

Our normally supernaturally calm little Lyra is quite out of sorts today. She is tired, clingy and feels better after calpol. I suspect it's the very beginning of teething as she went very quiet and had bright red cheeks last week. She really wanted cuddles in the car and pleaded with me. I couldn't resist those big blue eyes.

As you can see, once in my arms, she fell asleep standing up with her face pressed against my face. Bless her.
