Since it was a Bank Holiday in England I decided to to some holiday type-stuff and not look at Blip. I think that was a mistake since that now puts me a day behind, and in Blipworld, that is almost a lifetime. It will take me ages to catch up now.

I heard on the radio that it's not an official bank holiday in Scotland, although all the banks are closed. Wierd! Down here, the banks are also closed, but everything else is open - except bluddy post-offices. Once upon a time you knew how much it cost to post a letter and could often find the correct stamps about one's person. Not now. You seem to need a degree in rocket science to calculate the cost, or alternatively, get the post office to work it out.
..oh no, you can't 'cos they're bluddy closed. That important letter will now have to wait 'till tomorrow before it gets posted.

Since James is staying for the week we suddenly need more milk, tea bags, sugar, washing powder, shower gel, toothpaste.....
And so we went to the supermarket (which is open). If you walk, there are two ways of getting to the shopping centre; either by crossing a dual carriageway and a whole load of access roads, or by using the covered walkway that connects the local estate directly to Pound-Stretchers. This walkway is very long and dimly lit, but it avoids the busy and dangerous roads.
The choice is yours - a possible gruesome death....or take your chances crossing the road.
