What just happened?

I came back from a couple of days away today, having had a perfect relaxing break in great company, and I could have sworn that I saw the fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer in the hallway, looking for all the world that they belonged there!

In fact that?s exactly what I saw - the room they live in is being redecorated so they have a new temporary home. But I'm easily confused ...
