Sunday Farmer's Market

First thing this morning me and my bride headed out for the farmer's market. Plenty of local produce - the most effective way to reduce your carbon footprint. Most of what is offered is certified organic, but all produce is local, tasty and generally much cheaper than the grocery store.

We have such an embarrassment of riches in California. Already, we are heavily into the strawberry season with fruits and vegetables of spring harvest that tantalize the taste-buds and satisfy the most discerning cook/homemaker.

This photo captured some of the mixed flowers available for planting in your own yard. Note the strawberry plants in the mix.

We are having quite a spring in California and this is the only way I know how to share it with the rest of the world.
