I went to visit my mother-in-law at her new home today.

After her husband had a stroke they thought they would sell up, move into a sheltered housing complex and enjoy their lives without worrying about paying the bills and upkeep of their (far too big) house.

Smart thinking as far as I can see.

I was being shown their wee bit of garden and try as I might, I could not identify the strange round, red flower.

Later on, I was stuck in a line of traffic waiting for the 'temporary' traffic lights (which have been there for months with no sign of being removed anytime soon) when I saw the sign outside the building site.

It made me laugh I can tell you. If this is improving..........what were they like before?

The 'building' is going to be the new centre for the local council, courts, Fiscals Office, Police, Fire, Ambulance etc., etc., etc..

A pound to a penny it will be too small before it opens for all that lot.
