St Peters

This is a picturesque little church perched right on the coast, overlooking Morecambe bay, at Heysham in Lancashire, UK. It's been in regular use since the 12th century, known locally as "the Fisherman's Church" even though today there's very few fishermen operating in the bay. I'm especially pleased with this image 'cuz it's the first HDR one I've taken without a tripod, bracketing three shots, using continuous shooting mode. The VR built into the lens was a great help in avoiding camera shake it seems :) Makes a change from flowers folks<g>
