Early Christmas Present

At my booking-in appointment with the midwife I told her how worried I was because of my history and she arranged a scan at the Early Pregnancy Unit at Monklands hospital. It was very cold, icy and snowing. Your Dad and I were apprehensive, but it was quiet there (not like in the Princess Royal) and the midwife was very reassuring. Once she found you, the first thing we noticed was a little flashing light. That was your heartbeat! You were about 1cm long and still had a tail! Dad and I went for lunch in the Red Deer afterwards and just stared at your scan picture, then we went to see Gran and Papa to tell them that this time everything was okay.
