Stairway to Heaven?

Luang Prabang, Laos.
Looks heavenly but it was just some women sweeping up and burning leaves in the park at the foot of 'Mount Phousi' in the centre of town.

This was part of our very extended Honeymoon.
We'd spent 2 days on a cramped boat coming down the Mekong River from the Thai border and Luang Prabang felt like a magical place. Due to its French colonial past they baked good baguette there. A welcome alternative to the weeks of rice and plastic bread in Thailand


This is a new one for me; the first time i've gone back and tweaked an old familiar photo in photoshop. Desaturated and tweak the levels is all.
