New Growth

I thought I had lost this hosta over the winter as it is late in appearing.
However, it has shot up in the last coup;e of days.

There is also a wee bit of growth on a lavender that had been marked dead and cut back to near enough ground.
I had always thought it would not grow again when cut into old wood.

The weeds are still the fastest growers though
