The New Throne

OK, not the most thrilling photo ever taken, but there is a bit of a story attached to it.

My mother has been almost house-bound for several years, and hasn't been able to get out into the garden for at least three years. So after talking it through with my sister, we have installed new steps at the back door, together with many hand rails to enable her to get into the garden. the final piece in the Jigsaw was to put a chair in a place she can easily reach.

The hope is, that once she realises how easy it is to get to the chair (and how nice it is to enjoy the garden) she will then make the effort to get to the other chairs and benches around the garden. It's a bit like laying a trail of breadcrumbs.

All I have to do now, is cut the grass!
