Marginal
A scene early in the day from my regular daily commute. Typical of Cheltenham in many ways, from the terraced three-story Regency style flats, to the placards of the two opposing main candidates in tomorrow's election. Boundary changes in fact make this a very close marginal seat.
I often wonder about whoever lives in the flat in between. Do they have to intervene or intermediate in neighbourhood arguments? Are they Labour but too ashamed to admit it in a constituency that has always been a two-horse race? In any case, this is a view that I expect to see tomorrow and then no longer. One of these households will be happy by Friday, at least on a local level, though whether either gets the result they want nationally might be too close to call. Maybe the guys in between will get the last laugh after all?
If you are in the UK and are reading this, please vote tomorrow!
