Queen of the Mountain

This is one of Cassidy's favorite places to be. No doubt she likes to be on top of this because it makes her bigger than her brothers. The other reason is because it gets her closer to the "big birds". We always have buzzards in the area and the dogs go crazy when they see them. Cassidy runs to the spa and jumps up on - no doubt she is sure she will be able to grab one out of the air.

What is really funny is that the buzzards will sometimes fly closer to them. I think the buzzards are teasing the dogs. (No worries, they don't ever get that close ;-) Ha, imagine a buzzard trying to pick up a big ol' dog... Cassidy would have that thing down on the ground before it knew what happened. She is a very fast, agile girl - don't let the missing leg fool ya!

In case you are wondering what happened to her leg, we adopted her as a tripawd. The rescue group that had her believed she was hit by a car (we verified with x-rays, it is true, she has other fractures in her body). The leg was damaged, so they amputated. We adopted her when she was 1 yr old, she is now 5.
