Election Day Ennui
A funny thing happened to me this morning on my way to the rialto polling station.
Because I thought there might be the chance of blipping the candidates and supporters at the school gates, I strung my camera round my neck, ready for a quick blip. As luck would have it it started to rain so there was nobody hanging around outside.
As I went in I asked the young lady who escorted me to the polling booth if it was alright to take some photos. As she looked at the impressive camera round my neck she said it was probably fine if it was someone from an accredited agency. I took that as a 'yes' and hence todays blip.
Now if I had gone in with my little digital it might have been another story.
For once in my life, I voted tactically in this marginal seat.
In the last few days I have been convinced that a hung parliament is not what the UK needs and so I voted for a candidate who would ordinarily not have been my gut choice. But I feel rather guilty about it all, but console my self that my solitary vote is probably not going to make a blind bit of difference.
I would like to announce that the sale of the castle is now concluded after a protracted 4 weeks of lawyers negotiations.
It was never took this long in the good old days.
