Blossom of the cold
This Pulsatilla vulgaris or Anemone pulsatilla is in Finnish called Kylmänkukka, which means "Blossom of the cold". I think it is a suitable name because the plant is so furry. It is well prepared for chilly spring nights.
There are two species of wild Pulsatillas in Finland, but I have never managed to see any, because they are quite rare and do not grow in these parts of country. I wish I manage to find some of them one day. The flowers in the picture are garden species in Finland and grow in the park of botanical garden, which I seem to be visiting at least weekly recently.
This is a more apocalyptic view (or more artistic view) by tarkastaja of the same flowers from yesterday. Sunny weather had made them more open today. Funny thing is that those rabbit fences had vanished.
