The ugly bug

Well maybe not ugly, but certainly not very photogenic.
When I went to upload today's photo I noticed that someone had just posted a great shot of a lovely ladybird on a brightly coloured flower - a great shot. And immediately my wee beastie on a wet plant seemed to pale in comparison. So I abandoned the upload.
But later decided "what the hell" - I'll let the little critter have his moment of glory.
The shot was taken first thing this morning. It had rained a little overnight hence the collected water in the centre of the flower.
Had to get a photo taken in the morning 'cos it was bookgroup this evening straight from work and I knew I wouldn't have time during the day/evening to get the camera out.
(Book we discussed was 'The Poisonwood Bible' which we all enjoyed very much.)
