The Dog House

Remembering a friend...

What can I say, this has been "a week" and it isn't even over yet!

On Sunday a friend was killed in a car wreck (he was only 40). He was an amazing dog trainer. The "celebration of his life" was at his dog training grounds today. While he was a Texan, he always made sure you knew his ancestors were from Ireland. He was a proud Irishman. I assume you won't be surprised that he liked beer - being a Texan and Irish, he couldn't help himself. Anyway, the celebration was nice but it was missing one thing... BEER.... how do you celebrate a Texan/Irish guy's life without drinking beer? So, I came home and opened a beer and told him cheers! Drinking it now, as a matter of fact, and getting ready to drink another. I am a 5th Generation Texan and my ancestors are from Ireland --- a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

Cheers and remember when you think "I should call John or Jane" do it because you never know what is going to happen. Tell those you love how much they mean to you.

Rembering you Lee I am sure you are already surrounded by some great dogs and drinking a beer.
