a cobbler's life..
This wonderful lady and her husband run a shoe repair shop near work. I take my things there and they take good care of them. "Manshoecare" we call it.
Today, there was a customer in there who would not stop complaining and acting just plain Beverly Hills B****. The owner pleaded with her to stop all the whining about her ridiculous claims that her shoes are now shorter (how would one do that?)
This "special" customer then takes her shoes out of the box, puts them on, and says her feet have gotten bigger in the meantime, and she has to start all over again.
I am watching all of this, and the ancient grandfather in the back comes out and winks at me like saying just another day in the life of a cobbler.
Anyway, the proprietor let me take her picture, but would not look at the camera... I love her face...wisdom that comes from long life experience for sure.
