The Exhibition Projects

"The arts can be a powerful tool for social activism"

This central idea was the guiding principal for this terrific group of students in preparing their Creative Response in an art form. Issues were researched, ideas developed, opinions formed and then changed, passions discussed and of course, the art displayed. Visitors were encouraged to ask 'deep questions' and I was impressed with the answers given. Topics explored included child labor, deforestation, global warming and the effects is has on animal and human populations, vegetarianism, organic food and nutrition, D-Day and the human side of war, flooding and a campaign against fur farms.

All in all, very interesting and very worthwhile, for all concerned! Bravo Class 6!
