Twinkle twinkle

Son One was surprised to see Son Two and I sitting there when he walked in to assembly this morning (small one and I usually have a swimming lesson at that time), but I knew a secret..

He had been chosen as Star Of The Week :D

I so wish I'd been able to sit in front of him though, because (even though I could only see the side of his face) his expression of surprise and delight when his name was read out was obvious.

He won it for his outstanding maths skills, and for his investigative writing skills (he's apparently writing a non-fiction book about lions). I hear precious little of what he does every day (passing as he does through the magic memory-sucking forcefield that is the school gate), and this was a lovely surprise.

I am so proud of my boy :D

Picture quality is woeful (point&click, across a crowded hall, while balancing wriggly 6mo on lap), but this is one of my favourites!
