direction of travel?

Spent this morning glued to the TV trying to work out what was happening and recalling dashed hopes from so many elections since I started voting Liberal when I was 18. Rescued by Dad with a "do you fancy lunch" phone call and we went to a local canal side eatery, where we stayed inside out of the easterly wind, which was making it much colder than it looked. Lots of boat activity on the canal and eating activity inside, maybe lots of people took the day off to digest the election results? Looking forward to a weekend of footie and rugby, and hoping our political leaders find a way to work together.
