Comings and goings.

The past two days have been frenetic. Aunty A. was celebrating her Birthday yesterday and we planned to go out for lunch. Just as we were getting ready I had a 'phone call to say that my daughter had collapsed at our Doctor's Surgery and was being rushed into Hospital. Her husband raced up to my house and more or less 'threw' my granddaughter into my arms, hurried back to the Surgery in order to escort my daughter in the ambulance.
High drama! Lunch plans cancelled, met the other two children from school and brought them back here, gave them dinner, waited for their Daddy to pick them up at bedtime, drove to the Hospital with Aunty before visiting ended, picked up a Chinese meal on the way home, opened a bottle of wine and finally went to bed before midnight! ( Plans to stay up and watch the Election results were forgotten and poor A.A. fell into bed, exhausted, after a very strange Birthday!) She went home early this morning after a lovely week, which began wonderfully but ended bizarrely.
However, the good news is that my daughter was sent home this morning - still in considerable pain, but has to wait over the week-end to see if it subsides. Otherwise it's back to the drawing board.
Thank you A.A. for this lovely bouquet which you instructed me to get for her to welcome her home.
