True Love...

This is my best friend Daisy May (rescue Dachshund), and my lovely wife sharing their love for each other.

Anyone who is in the company of canines, or felines for that matter, knows these animals definitely have the capacity for devotion and unconditional love. They will be your best friend, take you on walks and adventures and provide companionship when you most need it.

Daisy was rescued from a "back-yard" breeder. She had two litters before she was two years old. She was basically treated like a breeder dog and lived with a dozen other Dachshunds, most of the time in carriers in a garage. She has lived with us now for over 6 years (she's 9 years old) and sleeps in the bed with us, gets the run of the house and the yard and goes on walks at least once a day; most of the time twice or three times. I think we can learn a lot from the companionship of our domesticated friends. My advice: just give them lots of love and they'll be your friend forever.
