Heron again

I walked down a different section of the Water of Leith, today. All the way I was being preceded by this heron (Ardea cinerea)

This was taken off the bridge at Canonmills, where he was waiting for the chef at a local deli to throw him some scraps. According to a friend (a keen wildlife photographer) who turned up, sometimes the heron will nip round to the carpark and tap on the window, demanding to be fed! A blip for another day.
