Doulton Fountain
I previously Blipped the whole of the Doulton Fountain on Glasgow Green. It is the world's largest Terracotta fountain.
A sculptural extravaganza, the fountain was designed to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee of 1887, and is adorned with figurative groups representing: Australia, Canada, India and South Africa, together with their national flora and fauna.
It has five tiers, is 46 feet high and 70 feet across the base.
This time I decided to concentrate on a small section of detail rather than the whole thing. Queen Victoria stands at the top.
